How to Avoid Unexpected Event Mishaps
Our very own Event Solutions Founder and CEO Brad Lipshy recently had the opportunity to speak with the folks at the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) about the most effective practices for avoiding disasters at your next corporate event. Brad’s advice is simple, straightforward, and practical: hire reliable, professional vendors from the get-go to avoid problems down the line.
Brad’s 30 year experience in the event planning industry helps lend an expert’s perspective to the article. It’s true – trusting your event to flaky or unprofessional vendors can have a serious impact on the quality of your event, and ultimately on your guests’ satisfaction. It’s important to vet potential vendors as best as you can prior to signing them on – that means reviewing their credentials and past work and speaking with them in person to avoid misunderstandings. He also adds that it’s important to read the fine print for liability coverage: “Have your legal department review each contract to make sure it covers you against any potential problems that might occur.” Suppliers need to have ample liability insurance in case something does happen – if they don’t, that’s a red flag.
The Ins and Outs
Many details go into the making of corporate events; that’s why it’s crucial to do your due diligence beforehand. For the consumer, that means finding the right event planner who knows the ins and outs of the business and will advocate on the client’s behalf. Here at Event Solutions, we understand the importance of finding the right event planner for your company’s next big event. Or, even for your company’s next medium-sized or small event. Whatever the size of your party, conference, luncheon, dinner, afternoon tea, anniversary…. we have the solution, and are ready and able to help make your event dreams a reality.
