A Week in Vegas
If you are looking for a way to incentivize and bond employees, setting the location in Las Vegas is a great start. Add a week of seamlessly planned events to create exciting memories for employees and you’ve got an incentive conference that will woo for the years to come.
That is exactly what a fast growing Crypto casino achieved this month. A virtual workforce come together for the very first time to meet in person and spend a week-long company retreat together under the very real lights of the world’s largest casino city- Las Vegas. Our conference event management company went to work immediately planning and booking the week’s events.
The Run of Vegas
We were thrilled to helped plan and manage this incentive trip and strive to provide the best Vegas has to offer. Hotel rooms were arranged and bought out. Activities for each day arranged, venue buyouts, and tickets reserved. These activities included team building as well as act as incentives for when the team would return to work at the week’s end. All of the transportation to and from the hotel, events, and activities would be expertly handled to ensure the team could focus on the fun that would be had. And meals? All arranged. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and happy hours – even tabs at the bars were managed to ensure the employees felt they had the run of Vegas (and they did!).
SUNDAY
The week kicked off with a reception at the Lift Bar Lounge in the Aria Resort gaming room. At 7pm, local time, 70 employees arrived to be bathed in the purple hues bouncing off the gold tiled bar walls. Refined yet relaxed, this bar offered the perfect atmosphere to begin the incentive for Roobet employees.
Cheers lifted nearby as winners played their hands, and hearts, on the gaming floor. Hors d’oeuvres displaced for the private party included gluten-free classic shrimp cocktail with horseradish and lemon accents, beef wellington with a fig puree in puff pastry, crispy buffalo chicken cigar with buttermilk ranch dressing, scallops and bacon and scallop mousseline topped with bacon jam on a crispy phyllo, philly cheese steak spring roll with white cheddar fondue for dipping, white truffle arancini with blistered tomato and basil hearts, and for the vegan option; a vegetable samosa with lime zest, mint, and vadouvan yogurt.
But it gets sweeter – for dessert, rich chocolate fudge brownies and truffles, lemon tarts and an assortment of fresh French macaroons. The food was exceptional, but the cocktails would warm the very soul. Boating some of the best hand crafted cocktails in the city of Las Vegas, Aria’s Lift Bar helped conversation flow as smoothly as its masterful drink combinations.
MONDAY
The corporate convention contained Monday with a cocktail reception at the double-decker tavern known as the Commonwealth. Attendees snacked on an elegant charcuterie & cheese board and fresh ceviche & chips with their drinks. The venue was rented with action stations set up. A shell mac and cheese station oozed with desiccant golden flavor while the fried chicken and waffle station filled the room with a sweet and savory scent. Kettle chips transformed whole potatoes into crisp bites. Bubbling with nostalgia, the soda float station was kept very busy. These are just a few of our favorite catering action station ideas. A live DJ pumped energy into the room while groups made their way through the stations and took turns in the photo booth. It was a Monday that would rival any other!
TUESDAY
On Tuesday the company retreat began like many others across the nation – at a golf course. Unlike other company golf trips, however, Top Golf in Las Vegas is a state-of-the-art, climate controlled high-tech course. Lunch was served up between tee-off times and included coconut shrimp, grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters and chips/salsa and guacamole. After lunch the employees unleashed their inner vikings at Axehole in Las Vegas. They traded in their clubs for something a little sharper as they experienced the VIP treatment in axe throwing.
Having worked up an appetite, dinner reservations were made for each of the teams at some of the finest restaurants in Vegas. Omakase served up fresh fresh dishes while Osteria Fiorella at the Red Rock served pasta in exciting ways. Sahara had a chef inspired menu that was as unexpected as it was delicious. All employees enjoyed a healthy sample of wine and beverages with their meals. What a way to end a Tuesday!
WEDNESDAY
As employees rose Wednesday in their hotel rooms overlooking the wonder of Vegas, already they had a checked-bad full of memories, but there was more to come. To start, employees were shuttled to the Meow Wolf to broaden their minds with psychedelic all-immersive art experience. Meow Wolf is described as “Astonishing. Unpredictable. Mind-bending. Featuring jaw-dropping work from international and local artists”. Their Omega Mart is perfect for those shopping for a new experience from a familiar surface. Guests browsed the aisles for sales on crazy renditions of everyday products, such as the Scream Bologna (per perhaps you would rather a Mona Lisa bologna instead?) or their Impact Corn drill and baby corn bit set? Open the door to the soda cooler for more experiences as you embark on a trip you won’t ever forget! These employees certainly won’t! After their market stop, things speed up at the track.
“Nikki did an outstanding job organizing our week-long company retreat in Vegas. Our team had such a great time and I really enjoyed having someone I could trust managing the event.
People were arriving from all around the world to meet in person for the first time. The experience they received from Event Solutions was priceless and memorable. We explored Las Vegas in a way that was so much fun and engaging.
As we had team building activities around the clock, our employees were rewarded and motivated as relationships really thrived within our company.
Since we’ve been back to work, I have noticed how revitalized the team is. The workweek has never been more enjoyable or productive.
Thank you, Nikki, we look forward to working with you again next year!”
AFTER THAT TRIP – DINNER & DANCING
For dinner, reservations were made at Sparrow + Wolf. This company retreat dinner was a real treat, with a menu designed for the VIPs of Vegas.
They refueled on fine dinning just in time for reservations at the Encore Beach Club at Night. Two dance floors were reserved for the night along with an extensive open tab. Employees danced the mid-week away, drinks in one hand, cameras for capturing memories in the other.
Party with Vegas Elite
When in Vegas, you never know who you might run into. After all, Vegas is the party city of the world! Celebrities of all types make their way to the neon lights of the Strip. This company retreat was in for a real treat when UFC Lightweight champion Charles Oliveira joined the party. Guests snapped selfies with the champion and his title belt while DJ Deadmau5 pumped the tracks. Lasers bounced with the crowd and in true Vegas fashion bartenders put on a show with mouth poured shots.
THURSDAY
Thursday saw lunch at the luxurious Wicked Spoon inside of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. This buffet is well known for its high-end mix of classic favorites with refined dishes. Located right on the strip, it made for a fantastic venue for a dealer’s choice kind of day.
After seeing Deadmau5 and rubbing shoulders with the celebrities of Vegas (like UFC Lightweight champion Charles Oliveira) the night before, employees were given a chance to bond over memories and stories from the week. With only one more day in store before returning to their virtual work spaces, they were taking every moment as a winning hand!
FRIDAY
Friday started with a continental breakfast at the Aria Resort and Casino. Employees needed to fuel up because today they would have a full schedule with team building activities. Selfies with new founded besties were taken as freshly squeezed orange juice was poured. Once the breakfast was cleared, the games began. Minute-to-Win-It games specially designed for the group was set up. These games have been carefully selected and honed over the last three decades to instill team work and healthy competition between employees. Laughter rang out as teams accomplished tasks with all the energy pumped from the neon nights of Vegas.
Lunch was provided, salads and cold cuts, right on location to ensure employees would not miss a moment of the dwindling time together. One final dinner reservation, this time at “Catch” offered a two course honorary dinner to the employees who started as strangers but were leaving a family. Toasts were made, plans for the next meeting were beginning to take shape and love was served next to the Seafood Tower. We looked on with pride at these last moments, happy to have helped facilitate the memories that would last a lifetime.
