The Perfect Location

May 19, 2018, was a perfectly cool day as TBK Bank employees gathered for their luau themed event. An overcast sky stretched overhead, making it a perfect day for company picnics. The picnic was at Anderson-Bonner Park which is conveniently located in Dallas near their Texas headquarters.

A Hawaiian Greeting

It all started with an affectionate Hawaiian greeting at the Registration Station. Event staff gifted guests with a bright and colorful lei. The traditional flower wreaths created a sense of unity at the group picnic site making it easy to spot a fellow employee and their family.

Fun Activities For All Ages

Upon entry to the private luau, guests were able to freely select one of many fun activities TBK Bank hand planned for them. The kids ran directly to the bounce houses and face painters. For the safety of the youngest guests, two bouncer were made available. One was for kids 5 and under, and the other was for children ages 6-11. The teens and adults loved competing on the 70’ long Boot Camp obstacle course. Everyone enjoyed watching the employee kickball tournament where friendly competition ensued among coworkers.

A Menu to Please Everyone

Lunch was a classic picnic menu that appealed to everyone’s taste. Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and cookies. The burgers and hot dogs were grilled on site which made for an extra delicious meal. Everyone enjoyed relaxing in the shade of the oversized tent.

Games & Prizes

Once the guests started to get re-energized everyone headed back out to the field for games and prizes. The unique relay races, group, and partner games brought all the guests and families together for a lot of laughing and cheering!

Some of the games included a distance javelin throw, ball toss (into your partner’s helmet bucket) and classics like tug of war. Luau theme games were included like grass-skirt hula hoops and of course, limbo! The prizes were a huge hit. With plenty for everyone, no one was left out of the fun.

A Lasting and Positive Impact

TBK stayed true to its values by ensuring their event had “a lasting and positive impact” on not just their employees, but their families too. The smiles, laughter, and joy were in abundance thanks to the investment TBK put into this picnic. They’ve also left a lasting and positive impact on all of us at Event Solutions as well. Thank you!
