Fun in the Sun Company Outing

Our team had the privilege of organizing a company outing for Cartoon Network ‘s 450 guests. Held at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades, CN employees had a blast on the sand as they enjoyed an awesome day with coworkers and their families. This company wanted their party to work on team building while bringing their employees together and giving them a relaxing and carefree Sunday at the beach. Their focus on personal detail, design, and branding made it an event to be remembered.

First Impressions

When guests arrived at 11:00 am, employees were welcomed by a registration booth and greeted by attendants. Guests were able to quickly enter the event, while attendants and security were able to keep track of the guest count and keep out everyday beach-goers. First impressions are everything, and the set up for Cartoon Network made a huge impact. Employees were blown away by the gorgeous ocean water, views of the mountains, colorful tables, lively rentals, canopies, inflatables, catering, and entertainment stations. With perfect 75 degree weather, it’s safe to say it was going to be a gorgeous day!

Event Decor that Reflects Company Culture

A huge aspect of Cartoon Network’s event was its design and special touches. It made their beach party personal for their employees and their company. Since their company fun-day was right on the sand, they needed to bring in everything from rentals, to tables, umbrellas, grills for catering, and small touches like sunscreen for their guests. To go with the feel of their exciting company, colorful linens that matched their brand was picked to bring some life to their celebration. Cutouts of their most famous characters, like Dexter, the Powerpuff Girls, Ed, and others, were used to decorate tables and different stations. Cartoon Network is an incredible company, and its employees are proud to be a part of it! Small branding touches like these are a great way to celebrate your business and a favorite for employees and their kids.

Excitement and Games

Cartoon Network’s event was family-friendly, meaning it needed to appeal to not only Cartoon Network’s team, but their kids and family as well. Corn hole, Giant Jenga, mini golf, mega inflatables for company picnics, carnival booths, and a castle combo play center were just some of the many company picnic games guests could choose from. Staying true to the culture of Cartoon Network, employees ignited their inner child and spent the day laughing and enjoying time with coworkers and their families. A favorite for kids of all ages, tattoo artists, and airbrush face painting was available all day long throughout the party. Another personal touch, different Cartoon Network characters were available as tattoos and for airbrushing for guests to select. It was awesome to see so many guests running around with Samurai Jack or Johnny Bravo.

Childhood Classics

A professional host and MC lead games made announcements, and organize raffles. Employees participated in field games and team building games like; company tug-a-war, Bingo Bonanza, Corporate Trivia, and the inflatable obstacle courses. A sound package was included with music, speakers, and surround sound. The best part about this type of team building games is that employees have an absolute blast without even realizing that they’re working on teamwork and communication. Guests relieved their childhood with classic games like a water balloon toss and employees competed in a healthy competition to win fabulous prizes. It was awesome for us to see so many adults and kids playing fun games like Giant Stack Cup with their feet in the sand.

Branded Personal Touches

It was essential to Cartoon Network that their event reflected their company and brand even down to the smallest of details. So when choosing giveaways and prices, they wanted to make sure that it showcased Cartoon Network in their best light. Guests received sunglasses, beach bags, beach towels, and beach balls all with Cartoon Network’s logo on it. They also made sure to have a photographer on deck to take pictures of all the joy taking place right on the sand. With so many banding moments caught in the background, they have plenty of marketing materials for their social media channels. Fresh On-Site Catering

When guests got hungry and needed a break, they could make their way to the colorful canopies and choose from an array of delicious picnic catering options. The condominium station was under careful guard of the Powerpuff Girls while the turkey and all-beef hot dogs were grilled over a real oak fire. The fresh cut herb salad with candied walnuts was the perfect addition to the summer day, and the fruit salad with coconut sprinkles made you feel like you were on a tropical island. Another yummy option, “It’s a Wrap” station featured Southwestern chicken, BBQ beef, Asian, and veggie wraps that all went nicely with our old-fashioned potato salad. And don’t forget dessert!! Guests chowed down on some delicious fresh baked cookies, brownies, and ice cream novelties.

Wine & Beer Beach Bar

A special treat for the adults, a wine and beer bar was available so employees could sit back and relax with a cold one. Cartoon Network understands how hard their employees work each and every day. It was important for them to give their team a break and they wanted this celebration to show their appreciation. A wine and beer beach bar is a nice touch that allows employees to have a little bit of extra fun!

Responsible & Safe Fun

But don’t worry, safety first! As parents, we know that a day at the beach can be a little stressful with kids. Making sure they don’t get sunburnt, don’t drift too far, and that they stay hydrated with plenty of water… So, to make this day as safe and fun as possible, a lifeguard was present, allowing employees to rest easy knowing their kids were taken care of. As part of their giveaway package, guests received a branded Cartoon Network beach towel.

With a Smile On Their Face

Our team was sad to see the day end, but was thrilled with the way everything turned out! As guests left the beach with their Cartoon Network beach balls and beach bags in hand, we loved watching all the smiles on their faces.
