The
Experience
Fullerton is Full of Samba Love
Extraordinary holiday parties make for the perfect end-of-year celebration. Whether the theme is one-of-a-kind or a classic standby, these celebrations are sure to encourage teams to do their best into the next year.
When we were contacted by a Glass Company to host a holiday celebration at their headquarters in Fullerton, California, we were excited to collaborate.
For this holiday party, the Glass Company wanted a theme that was inclusive and exciting: a samba theme. We planned to bring in live performances, plenty of games, and decadent food.
They wanted to give back to their team in a way they would never forget. This glamorous holiday party would involve plenty of year-end festivities like casino games and a raffle for their employees to enjoy.

For the Love of Food
The day of the event was a typical December day in California. Breezy, with a little chill to the air, but nevertheless mild temperatures. Our team arrived at the their headquarters early, to begin our setup and preparations. We planned to deck their business out in luxurious red tones with dramatic lighting to up the wow factor for this already astounding celebration.
Our event and production company worked to set up the red lighting for the event, paying special attention to the lights on the buffet station. Food presentation is one aspect you can’t look over at a food-centric event like a holiday party, and lighting is a surprisingly important part to it. Our catering team for this event began preparing a truly exceptional menu. Fullerton had requested a decadent main course followed by plenty of bite-sized desserts designed for guests to enjoy while mingling.
On the menu for this holiday party was a festive feast. Our food and beverage team prepared two entrees for guests to choose from: a cabernet braised beef bourguignon with tender pearl onions and a sage roasted turkey with delectable port wine gravy. For sides, they prepared citrus frisee salad with candied pecans and a luxe champagne vinaigrette as well as boursin mashed potatoes and roasted root vegetables.
Cold Wind, Warm Smiles
For desserts, which would be served after some festivities, our team prepared a variety of pastries. Mini macarons, chocolate truffle bites, mousses, brownies, and cookies were displayed gorgeously on the buffet line. We also had holiday treats like pumpkin cheese bites and apple pie bars. A coffee station was also set up to warm our guests up.
Guests filtered in, grabbing their raffle tickets and casino passes, and mingled during the beginning stages of the event. The buffet opened to them at 7:00. The room filled with conversation, a low hum in the background as our team worked. The once-empty building had sprung to life. Our guests were bathed in the crimson glow of our LED lights, faces bright and adorned with intricate samba masks.
Soon, management took the stage to deliver a speech. Our AV team had ensured we had everything needed to keep event speakers happy. Once the speech had commenced, while all eyes were still turned to the stage, our entertainers for this evening began their show. We’d brought in samba dancers for this holiday party. Adorned in glitz and sparkling in the lights, our dancers wowed the guests with their skill.

Casino Games
After the performance, the casino opened. There are many ways to engage guests at a holiday party, but casino games are uniquely thrilling. Fullerton Glass had asked for the full set of casino games, with prizes won to be handed out at the event’s end. Tonight, guests were welcome to enjoy blackjack, craps, a money wheel, and roulette. We find that casino games and holiday parties make for a delightful pairing. The excitement levels are unmatched when bringing these two together, and these games serve as a great way to reward employees’ hard work at a years-end celebration.
The casino area was lively, a flurry of conversation, cheers, and action. We were thrilled seeing how much these team members were enjoying themselves. Parties like this often take a lot of preparation, and seeing joy on our guests’ faces makes the work all the more fulfilling.
Soon, our dessert and coffee stations opened. The guests enjoyed these while they played blackjack or conversed over a warm cup of coffee. The night was still young, and we hoped the hot beverages and delicious desserts would fuel our guests until the end of the party.
Holiday Magic
Spirits were high in the room. As we oversaw the event as well as our stations and work, we were already sure this party was a hit. Holiday parties can be undeniably magical, and this one was truly enchanting.
In the final hour of the event, the celebrations reached their peak. Amidst cheers and congratulations, the winners of the casino games were calculated and given their prizes. Shortly after, the raffle winners were drawn. Even as the last winner retrieved their prize, the rush in the air was palpable. Guests were exuberant, leaving us with a feeling of pride. At 11:00 that night, the holiday party wore to an end. Our team broke down the tables, booths, and decor and loaded up the entertainment.
This event had been truly magical. The act of bringing a team together, celebrating the holidays as a work family, rewarding their achievements and looking forward to the next, is unforgettable.
