Celebrating their Team
Some events are truly magical. Watching a space be transformed before your eyes into a branded, personalized experience, and it then filling with joyous people, is part of the event magic. Watching our team’s custom event fabrication efforts come to fruition, setting the scene for a dazzling event, is every bit as remarkable.
When DHL, an international shipping provider, and Bright Partnerships, a London-based advertising agency, contacted us to coordinate a branded cocktail reception for their team at the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach, our corporate event planners were ecstatic to help!
With a comprehensive vision from Bright and our masterminded fabricators, we were a match made in heaven. The event space was large, encompassing the Beacon ballroom, its adjoining rotunda, and its foyer within the Hyatt. From floor to ceiling, we’d be decorating this wide space with branded decor and designs.
Planning One Grand Event
DHL wanted this event to be a treat for every member joining. It would follow a shipping conference where their team was presenting, a fun mixer to celebrate their team’s successful day.
Business mixers like these are just as rewarding for us to take part in as they are for the employees attending.
Our corporate event planners arrived at the hotel that sunny afternoon.
The entire reception would also be branded, from the GOBO lights displaying the DHL logo on the welcome booth’s backdrop to the couches in brand colors.
Our team had plenty to do before the event to ensure perfection for our client.

An Immersive Experience
At 7:00 sharp, DHL’s team entered the Hyatt’s racetrack-styled entrance.
Checkered flags waved on chrome poles, leading to a finish line on the floor.
Overhead, starting lights illuminated the regal entrance.
Inside, a metallic gold welcome booth boasted the motto “In the Fast Lane,” accompanied by DHL signage and branded GOBOs.
Further along, a display featured shipping cars atop vibrant racecars, blending Formula 1 theme with DHL’s specialty.
Branded Entertainment
Guests conversed as they entered, smiles on every face.
Groups made their way through registration and on through the ballroom.
For entertainment, attendees were welcome to try out an F1 racing simulator game.
With two monitors for game display, a monitor on the wall for scores, and a branded racerback chair to use, the experience was immersive.
Enjoying their Evening
After getting their treats or drinks from the catering station, the team could move into the lounge areas we had arranged for them.
The venue was filled with life, the sounds of conversation flowing, and the thrum of memories being made.
The mood in the Hyatt was one of joy and relaxation, with colleagues discussing their successes at that day’s convention backdropped by the view of Long Beach.

Joyful Guests
The hours passed by quickly as these employees bonded and relaxed under the warm glow of our lights.
We could tell we’d given DHL’s team exactly what their management wanted: the perfect end to an exciting day.
Outside the windows, the sun set. The guests were jubilant, their eyes sparkling and smiles adorning their faces.
Once the clock hit 11:00, the team began to make their way out, crossing the finish line at the entrance again.
Our team busied ourselves packing up decor and tables, and breaking down lights and stanchions.
As we loaded up the last equipment into our trucks, the crescent moon gleaming overhead, we knew this had been a job well done.
