The No Drugs America Association is the vision of its founder Frank Kelly, and was incorporated in the year 2000 as a California non-profit public benefit organization. NDA’s primary drug prevention awareness message “Say It Loud, I Need No Drugs” has helped in NDA’s continued growth toward stopping illegal drug use and the illegal use of legal drugs, such as marijuana and alcohol before it starts. NDA’s first event was the No Drugs America outdoor freeway billboard sign dedication ceremony which led to what is now known as our No Drugs America Day which is the third Saturday in April. At this event, bicycles are given away to draw youths and their parents to educate them of the dangers of substance abuse and substance use disorders! Substance abuse prevention and intervention information is handed out to youths and their parents. To date NDA has had prevention assemblies in the pre-school elementary and junior high schools on drug prevention. Through the efforts if it’s founder who has studied Substance Abuse Use Prevention at UCLA and Prevention Studies at San Bernardino Valley College and a Drug Education Specialist from the Drug Free World Foundation and who also graduated from CAARR Institute for Social Models of Recovery has created the A Way Back Substance Use Disorder Intervention Program. No Drugs America now offers this Sensible Intervention Education Program for those with with substance abuse issues free through a partnership with the Family Assistance Program in Victorville to youth and adults and has successfully graduated nearly one hundred participants in the past three years. This are virtual classes by way of ZOOM. No Drugs America strives to keep children drug free and have an alternative plan to intervene with those with substance use problems to help them find “A WAY BACK”!
